It is 9.35 pm on the 5th of January 2009. Where I come from in England it is -8 degrees, yet here I sit in glorious splendor by the pool checking out the view of the Reunion Grande on a calm 70 degree night.
This is important, because if I can be here then so can you. Go on, jump in a car / plane and come to Florida. I don’t really mind if you don’t stay in one of my vacation rentals, just come on down. It is cold where you are, it is grey where you are. Quite probably it is raining where you are. That is not good for you.
You need sunshine, you need heat, and above all things……You need MICKEY MOUSE!!!
It is always nice to get some sort of vindication for the work you do and in the the vacation rental business it is especially sweet. To know that someone has traveled down to Florida and that you have contributed in a small way to their great vacation gives you a warm feeling inside.
This is testimonial received recently:
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the property at *** Sunset View in Davenport. The house was immaculate and obviously well cared for. It really felt like we were at home on holiday :). It was also in the perfect location, minutes from WDW but far enough away that we didn’t have to worry about traffic or noise. The community was nice as well, and the views of the conservation area from the pool were beautiful. We will definitely be staying again for our next Florida vacation.
In case you hadn’t noticed it is now 2009! I have been partying 2008 away as hard as possible but now it is time to settle down and help get as many of you as possible down to Orlando to stay in these great vacation rentals!
This is a picture of the fantastic seven bedroom Emerald Island home I have just started promoting. There are more pictures here. It is yet another great home close to Disney with all the facilities you need at a fraction of the price of staying in a hotel.
So stop getting all depressed about the economy and book yourself a fantastic deal for your vacation.

Just arrived at Sanford Airport to be greeted by……emptiness. My son was playing the echo game in the departure lounge which was completely deserted. No departures all day.
The flight we are waiting for is one of only 2 arrivals.
I have never seen anything like this before. Chatting to the lady at the coffee bar she was saying that no flights are full and that she expects to be out of work after the holidays.
Kirsten Coupland found the three-bedroom villa at Forgetaway.com, which lists it as a waterfront property in Miami Beach with a boat dock and inground pool that sleeps 10 and goes for $1,100 to $1,300 a week.
“There was nothing that made me think that there was anything fishy or untoward,” Coupland recalled Monday. “It looked completely safe to use.”
Coupland checked out the address to make sure the home existed, contacted a bank in New York to ensure the account was in the name of the person who said he owned the villa, and paid more than $4,000 to secure the six-week rental.
You know the rest of the story…. It ends with an African conman profiting another $4000. Of course as the guests paid by bank transfer and not a credit card the chances of them getting their money back is zero.
So always pay by credit card folks. Every check that you do the scammers have already thought out in advance. Make sure you can get your money back if things don’t go according to plan.
I wonder how useful this would be? I guess it gives me the ability to post immediately if something interesting happens but I find typing on the iPhone painfully slow.
Just look at this place! As my kids would say; “It is AWESOME!” Check out the resort.
We have just started marketing this gorgeous home. Imagine spending your Florida vacation time here! We will be looking for around $250 per night off peak and $300 peak! A second to none location at a fantastic price!
